Basils Farm Events

Basils Farm provides the ideal location for special events and educational workshops. Enjoy outdoor activities such as self-guided walks, food foraging in the native conservation land, or join one of our regular permaculture gardening or art workshops.

For food and wine lovers, we also hold dinners with winemaker Ray Nadeson, cooking classes with guest chefs and wine and food matching experiences.

Basils Farm is also the perfect choice for those looking for a venue with a difference. With stunning views across Swan Bay to Queenscliff, the grassed area and Basils Cafe are available to book for corporate wine tastings and private group events.

Weddings  We can currently hold intimate weddings of up to 60 guests on the property. For further details please visit our Functions page. We plan to hold larger weddings from late 2018. Private Functions, Corporate Events and Catering Basils Farm can accommodate private functions in the Cafe (out of regular business hours) and in our large outdoor marquee (all hours). Basils Farm “Sunday Sessions” are Back! 

From Sunday 10th September through to the end of April 2018 relax to the tunes of our talented Sunday sessions musicians. We have a great lineup of acoustic artists playing a variety of genres ranging from blues through to modern day favourites. This month we look forward to having regulars Sam Hanson and Imogen Brough back and welcome Kieren T, Dave Dorman and Kristy Wilsons to Basils Farm.

Entry is free however as weekends tend to be busy, bookings are essential.

Time: 12:30 to 3:30 PM every Sunday, September to April.

Basil’s Farm Seasonal Edible Gardening Workshops

Everything you need to know to grow healthy and fresh organic food throughout the seasons. Utilising permaculture design principles and sustainable practices, drawing on the skills of our in-house gardening guru’s Ben (Permaculture Gardener) and Igor (Farm Manager) to help turn your garden into one of abundance, health and beauty!

Toast to the Coast – 4th & 5th November

We warmly invite you to join us for the 16th Annual Geelong Winegrowers – Toast to the Coast Festival on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November. Basils Farm will be joining in the festivities on both days and will be open from 10am-5pm.

Toast at Basils Farm!
Guests can grab a Basils basket and blanket and indulge all afternoon! Share picnic baskets for 2 or more, including antipasto delights & delicious dishes, hot off the smoker. Choose from Smoked Pork Ribs, Lamb Tagine, Smoked Salmon or Veggie Hush Puppies.

We will also have live acoustic music all weekend. Blues with Dave Dorman’s “Dog Gone South” on Saturday and funky tunes from local talent Anthony Dellarmarta “Della” on Sunday.

(Please note we will not be taking bookings for this weekend).

Basils Farm will also be open for the ‘unofficial” Melbourne Cup long weekend!
Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th November from 12 noon.
Limited menu – special dishes of the day and antipasto platters.
