Basils Farm Events

Basils Farm provides the ideal location for special events and educational workshops. Enjoy outdoor activities such as self-guided walks, food foraging in the native conservation land, or join one of our regular gardening or art workshops.

For food and wine lovers, we also hold dinners with winemaker Ray Nadeson, cooking classes with guest chefs and wine and food matching experiences.

Basils Farm is also the perfect choice for those looking for a venue with a difference. With stunning views across Swan Bay to Queenscliff, the grassed area and Basils Cafe are available to book for corporate wine tastings and private group events.

Weddings  We can currently hold weddings for up to 120 guests on the property. For further details please visit our Functions page.

Private Functions, Corporate Events and Catering Basils Farm can accommodate private functions in the Cafe (out of regular business hours) and in our large outdoor marquee (all hours). Father’s Day – Sunday 2nd September 

Treat Dad to a special day out this Father’s Day, Sunday 2nd September, at Basils Farm. Basils Farm will be open from 8am for breakfast and 12pm-4pm for lunch. Our Cellar Door is open from 11am-5pm, for wine tastings and sales (if you want to pick up a treat or two for Dad!).

In addition to our regular a la carte menu, we will have two special dishes available on Father’s Day, Baby Whole Snapper and Beef Cheek Pie.

Live Music with Nadine Joy! Talented Jazz vocalist Nadine Joy from Hot Club Swing will be performing from 12.30-3.30pm.

Fun for the Kids at Basils Farm!
Feed the Farm Animals + Lunch – Every Wednesday. 

Due to popular demand our Children’s “Meet and Feed the Animal Sessions + Lunch” will now be held every Wednesday.

During our feeding sessions, Children will be able to meet and feed the farm animals including Baby Doll Sheep, Llamas, Chickens and ducks.
For lunch, Children can choose from a Kids Platter Box or a Ham & Cheese Toastie.
Meet & Feed the Animals sessions will run from 11am for approximately 45 mins, followed by lunch. Children under 5 years must be supervised by an adult.
Cost: $15 per child. (Please only book in the number of children).

Toast to the Coast, 3rd & 4th November 2018.

The full Toast to the Coast program will be announced in the coming weeks and ticket sales will be available in August via the Geelong Winegrowers Association website.

Unfortunately, we do not take bookings over the Toast weekend, however, we have plenty of space for all to enjoy. We also will not be open for breakfast this weekend. Opening hours are 10am-5pm.

Everything you need to know to grow healthy and fresh organic food throughout the seasons. Utilising sustainable practices, drawing on the skill of our in-house gardening guru Igor (Farm Manager) to help turn your garden into one of abundance, health, and beauty!

Trung Truong – Fine Art Photographic Exhibition at Basils Farm. 

Artist Trung Truong will be showcasing his work at Basils Farm from Saturday 12th May. This versatile artist’s love of nature shines through his work. The artworks are as diverse as the cultural influence of places he has lived. The beautiful Bellarine Peninsula is now his home and has inspired his recent series of Bellarine, fine art landscape photographs. These striking images display a depth of beauty and invite quiet contemplation.

Basils Farm “Sunday Sessions” Acoustic Music.

Our acoustic music “Sunday Sessions” will start up again in September. Sit back and relax to the sounds of talented musicians play every Sunday 12.30-3.30pm, from September to April. We have a great line up planned for September including Jazz singer Nadine Joy from Hot Club Swing and Basils regular Imogen Brough. Every month we will also feature a Jazz, Folk or Blues musician. Keep an eye on this page for regular updates. Admission is free however bookings are highly recommended.
