Basils Farm Events
Basils Farm provides the ideal location for special events and educational workshops. Enjoy outdoor activities such as self-guided walks, food foraging in the native conservation land, or join one of our regular gardening or art workshops.
For food and wine lovers, we also hold dinners with winemaker Ray Nadeson, cooking classes with guest chefs and wine and food matching experiences.
Basils Farm is also the perfect choice for those looking for a venue with a difference. With stunning views across Swan Bay to Queenscliff, the grassed area and Basils Cafe are available to book for corporate wine tastings and private group events.

Mother’s Day Brunch & Lunch at Basils Farm – Sunday 12th May.

Celebrate Mother’s Day at Basils Farm with a delicious Brunch or Lunch in our Farmhouse Cafe or Pavilion. Let Mum soak up the views and relax, whilst the kids explore our family friendly farm setting.
Adults: $40 per person. Granola + a choice of one of 3 hot dishes + coffee/tea.
Child: $15 per person. Main + Hot Chocolate or Juice.
Times: 10am, 10:15am, 10:30am.
Adults: $60 per person. Entrée, Main, Dessert. Served as a shared style* banquet for the table to enjoy.
Child: $20 per person. Main + dessert.
Times: 12pm, 12:15pm, 12:30pm, 1pm, 2:30pm, 2:45pm.
Terms & Conditions
– Please note a $20 per person deposit is required when booking.
– All bookings are inside the Farmhouse Café or Pavilion.
– We do our best to accommodate specific table requests however, we are unable to guarantee them in advance. Outside lawn tables cannot be reserved. On arrival, should a table be available, you are welcome to move.
– Vegetarian and Vegan options are available. Please advise our staff when booking.
– Maximum of 1.5 hour seating time for brunch and 2 hours for lunch.
*Banquet style lunch selection: tables of up to 4 guests, have 1 selection. Over 4 guests can select 2 choices for the table.

Basils Farm “Sunday Sessions” Acoustic Music.
Our live music “Sunday Sessions” are held from September to April and have now finished. Check out our Events page in September to the view the line-up.
From September, talented musicians will be performing every Sunday 12.30-3.30pm. Admission is free however bookings are highly recommended.
Fun for the Kids at Basils Farm!
Feed the Farm Animals + Lunch.
Our popular Children’s “Meet and Feed the Animal Sessions + Lunch” are held every Thursday* during School Terms 2 & 3 and also every Thursday during the school holidays. (Weather dependent).
*Not held on Public holidays.
Children get to meet and feed the farm animals including Houdini the llama, Babydoll sheep, chickens and ducks and also visit our Chicken Caravan to see how we collect the eggs for our cafe.
Registration is from 10.15am for a 10.30am start.
Cost: $20 per child (only book in children attending). Includes lunch and a drink. Please see the current children’s menu for an example of meals.
Sessions are limited to 15 children. Please wear suitable footwear for walking around the farm and paddocks. Gumboots are great in the cooler months. You may like a pram or pusher for little ones to visit the chickens (5 min walk). Our tour guides are Mark and Paige who both have working with children checks and love our animals and ensuring that all children have the opportunity to participate!

Adults are welcome to pre-order lunch. Enjoy a dish off our all-day menu (various prices) or Local’s Lunch Special dish of the day and a glass of wine for $30.

Artist Trung Truong is currently showcasing his artwork at Basils Farm This versatile artist’s love of nature shines through and portrays the diverse cultural influence of places he has lived. The beautiful Bellarine Peninsula is now his home and has inspired his recent series of Bellarine, fine art landscape photographs and paintings. These striking images display a depth of beauty and invite quiet contemplation.
