Basils Farm Events
Basils Farm provides the ideal location for special events and educational workshops. Enjoy outdoor activities such as self-guided walks, food foraging in the native conservation land, or join one of our regular gardening or art workshops.
For food and wine lovers, we also hold dinners with winemaker Ray Nadeson, cooking classes with guest chefs and wine and food matching experiences.
Basils Farm is also the perfect choice for those looking for a venue with a difference. With stunning views across Swan Bay to Queenscliff, the grassed area and Basils Cafe are available to book for corporate wine tastings and private group events.
Weddings We can currently hold weddings for up to 120 guests on the property. For further details please visit our Functions page.
Private Functions, Corporate Events and Catering Basils Farm can accommodate private functions in the Cafe (out of regular business hours) and in our large outdoor marquee (all hours). School Holiday Fun at Basils Farm!
Feed the Farm Animals + Lunch.
Join us on Wednesday 4th and Wednesday 11th July (BOOKED OUT -Thursday & Friday sessions) for our Children’s Animal Feeding and Lunch. Children will be able to meet and feed the farm animals including Baby Doll Sheep, Llamas, Chickens and ducks.
For fun, Lucy the Border Collie will also be there to help round up the sheep!
Children can choose from a Kids Platter Box or a Ham & Cheese Croissant for lunch.
Meet & Feed the Animals sessions will run from 11am for approximately 45 mins, followed by lunch. Children under 5 years must be supervised by an adult.

Winter Shiraz Weekend at Basils Farm 7-8th July
Visit Basils Farm for a Smokin’ Shiraz Weekend over 7-8th July. Enjoy a glass of Basils Farm Shiraz around the firepit, as you take in the stunning views over Swan Bay to Queenscliff.
Our current release, 2017 Basils Farm Shiraz, is a wild fermented, minimal intervention wine, displaying delicious savoury flavours and spicy zest. This vintage is shaping up to be one of our finest!
Smoker delights await you as we fire up the Basils Burner, for a Shiraz inspired American Style, Street Food menu and back vintage wine tastings.
The full range of Basils Farm wines will also be available for tasting from 11am-5pm.
Entry is free however there is a fee for wine tastings.
Start your day with a hearty Basils Farm breakfast from 8am-11am or join us for lunch from 12-4pm.

Basil’s Farm Seasonal Edible Gardening Workshops
Everything you need to know to grow healthy and fresh organic food throughout the seasons. Utilising sustainable practices, drawing on the skill of our in-house gardening guru Igor (Farm Manager) to help turn your garden into one of abundance, health, and beauty!
Spring Gardening Workshop 2018 – Saturday 17th November.

Trung Truong – Fine Art Photographic Exhibition at Basils Farm.
Artist Trung Truong will be showcasing his work at Basils Farm from Saturday 12th May. This versatile artist’s love of nature shines through his work. The artworks are as diverse as the cultural influence of places he has lived. The beautiful Bellarine Peninsula is now his home and has inspired his recent series of Bellarine, fine art landscape photographs. These striking images display a depth of beauty and invite quiet contemplation.

Basils Farm “Sunday Sessions” Acoustic Music.
We take a break from the Basils Farm Sunday Sessions From May-August. We will start up again in September through to the end of April 2019. We invite talented, local, acoustic musicians to contact us for the opportunity to play at Basils Farm.
