Basils Farm provides the ideal location for special events and educational workshops. Enjoy outdoor activities such as self-guided walks, food foraging in the native conservation land, or join one of our regular gardening or art workshops. For food and wine lovers, we also hold wine & food matching experiences with winemaker Ray Nadeson and wine tasting events throughout the year. Basils Farm is also the perfect choice for those looking for a venue with a difference. With stunning views across Swan Bay to Queenscliff, the grassed area and Basils Cafe are available to book for corporate wine tastings and private group events. Toast to the Coast
Now in its 18th year, Toast to the Coast is on again – this time with a new format!
Day 1, Saturday 2nd November – Enjoy touring the wineries (Including BASILS FARM), visiting cellar doors and discovering the delights the Geelong region has to offer. 10am-5pm.
Day 2, Sunday 3 November – The Pier Geelong, where wine producers will come together to offer Geelong’s finest drops at a beautiful showcase event under the one roof.
11am-2pm (Morning Session), 3pm-6pm (Afternoon Session)
Day 1 (Saturday 2nd) at Basils Farm – Taste Basils Farm handcrafted wines or sip on a selection of garden-inspired cocktails from Basils NEW Garden Bar! Set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens, take in the stunning views across Swan Bay and enjoy delicious “Walk n Fork” Bellarine bounty dishes or a popular Tasting Platter, perfect to share with friends. To keep the good vibes flowing, Anthony “Della” Dellamarta and friends will be performing from 12-4pm.
Guest Winery: Dinny Goonan Wines will join us on Saturday offering wine tastings in Basils Pavilion.

Day 2 (Sunday 3rd) – Basils Farm will be open as usual from 10am-5pm for Brunch, Lunch and Wine Tastings. Sunday Session Live Music with Alister Turrill Music from 12.30-3.30pm.

Basils Farm “Sunday Sessions” Live Music.
Our live music “Sunday Sessions” are held from September to April. From September, talented musicians will be performing every Sunday 12.30-3.30pm. Admission is free however bookings are highly recommended.
We have a number of favourites back at Basils this September. Kicking off with Fraser Telfer on Father’s Day!
Fun for the Kids at Basils Farm! Feed the Farm Animals + Lunch.
Our popular Children’s “Meet and Feed the Animal Sessions + Lunch” are held every Thursday* during School Terms until the end of November and also every Thursday during the school holidays. (Weather dependent).
*Please note, not held on Public holidays.
NEW – School Holiday additional date: Friday 4th October.
Children get to meet and feed the farm animals including llama’s, Babydoll sheep, chickens and ducks and also visit our Chicken Caravan to see how we collect the eggs for our cafe. Registration is from 10.15am for a 10.30am start. Cost: $20 per child (only book in children attending). Includes lunch and a drink. Please see the current children’s menu for an example of meals.
Sessions are limited to 15 children. Please wear suitable footwear for walking around the farm and paddocks. Gumboots are great in the cooler months.
Our tour guides are Mark and Paige who both have working with children checks and love our animals and ensuring that all children have the opportunity to participate!

Trung Truong – Fine Art Exhibition at Basils Farm.
Artist Trung Truong is currently showcasing his artwork at Basils Farm. This versatile artist’s love of nature shines through and portrays the diverse cultural influence of the places he has lived. His current exhibition features horses and can be viewed until the end of September.
Trung will be holding an exhibition afternoon at Basils Farm on Saturday 14th September. We invite you to meet Trung and discuss his artworks and inspiration for his latest collection which features horses. Guests will be treated to Prosecco on arrival and light nibbles – everyone welcome!
