Basils Farm provides the ideal location for special events and educational workshops. Enjoy outdoor activities such as self-guided walks, food foraging in the native conservation land, or join one of our regular gardening or art workshops.

For food and wine lovers, we also hold dinners with winemaker Ray Nadeson, cooking classes with guest chefs and wine and food matching experiences.

Basils Farm is also the perfect choice for those looking for a venue with a difference. With stunning views across Swan Bay to Queenscliff, the grassed area and Basils Cafe are available to book for corporate wine tastings and private group events.

Wine and Food Tasting Event with Winemaker Ray Nadeson – Saturday 17th November. (Limited tickets remaining!)

Join Winemaker, Ray Nadeson of Lethbridge Wines for an exclusive and intimate Wine & Food Tasting at Basils Farm.

This special event is one not to be missed! It’s our first event with winemaker Ray Nadeson, who has been making the Basils Farm range of wines for 5 years.

Ray is one of Australia’s most acclaimed winemakers, creating wines that focus on balance, texture and express the unique character of place or terroir.

Ray will delight attendees with stories from travels around the globe and his passion for winemaking, encompassing 23 years experience in the industry. He will present the Basils Farm new release wines and discuss his natural approach to winemaking and what makes Basils Farm wines unique.

Six new vintage wines will be matched to canapes featuring Basils Farm homegrown and local produce, highlighting the quality of the wines and food. We will also have special offers for wine purchases made on the day.

Fun for the Kids at Basils Farm!
Feed the Farm Animals + Lunch.
**NEW – School holiday dates released!**

Our popular Children’s “Meet and Feed the Animal Sessions + Lunch” are held on selected Wednesday’s and Thursdays as per dates below + additional dates over the School holidays. (Thursday only from 15th Nov).

During our feeding sessions, Children will be able to meet and feed the farm animals including Baby Doll Sheep, Llamas, Chickens and ducks.
For lunch, Children can choose from a Kids Platter Box or a Ham & Cheese Toastie.

Meet & Feed the Animals sessions will run from 11am for approximately 45 mins, followed by lunch. Children under 5 years must be supervised by an adult during the feedings.

Cost: $15 per child. (Please only book in the number of children).

Please arrive at 10.45am for registration and briefing. Attending the briefing is a condition of entry to the farm and ensures the safety of all participants. Please supervise all children in the garden and advise them to stay on the paths. It is a labour of love and we use the produce in the Cafe.

Parents can also stay for lunch and enjoy a main meal and glass of wine or coffee for $30 (Locals Lunch deal) or choose a dish from our a la carte menu. Book online or email info@basilsfarm.com.au

Toast to the Coast, 3rd & 4th November 2018.

Toast to the Coast is the Geelong Wine Associations biggest weekend of the year! It’s a celebration of Geelong Wine across three regions. Basils Farm is a destination on the Bellarine Toast to the Coast route. Tickets are available to purchase now at http://toasttothecoast.com.au/

Toast at Basils!…Our Chefs have a sensational “Walk n Fork” Bellarine Bush to Bay inspired menu + we join forces with the Bellarine’s own “The Whiskery” to bring you the Basils “Ginsecco” cocktail! Further details below….

Unfortunately, we do not take bookings over the Toast weekend, however, we have plenty of space for all to enjoy. We also will not be open for breakfast this weekend. Opening hours are 10am-5pm

TOAST MENU – The Basils Farm Chefs have created a menu featuring local favourites and a mouthwatering “walk and fork” menu.

Mussels steamed in Basils Farm Rose with chilli tomato and fresh garden herbs served with fresh crusty bread. $20

Basils Picnic for 2: Charcuterie Platter (Victorian cured meats, house smoked salmon, Apostle Whey cheeses, house-made dip, pickled vegetables, with a selection of crackers and bread) served in a basket with a picnic rug $40 or add a bottle of Prosecco for $70.

“Walk and Fork” Menu
Substantial single person portions, bay to bush foraged and locally sourced ingredients served in bamboo bowls. 

-Shredded duck with garden fennel kale slaw and blueberry gastrique.
-House smoked salmon with coastal spinach and horseradish.
-Roasted King Brown mushrooms and fried saltbush with white truffle and celery jus.
-Slow cooked Bellarine Lamb, smoked beetroot and a lemon and Drysdale goats cheese feta.

COCKTAILS – Our cocktail bar will also be serving three new Basils Farm cocktails🍹🍹🍹
Ginsecco: Homegrown, squeezed grapefruit, a splash of sugar syrup, Bellarine local “Teddy & the Fox” Gin, topped with Basils Farmhouse Prosecco.
The Foxy Basil: Basil Leaves and Cucumber smashed and shaken with Teddy in the fox gin, topped with tonic.
Basils Pink Sangria: Basils Farm Rose, lemonade, a variety of local berries and orange.

In addition to the Toast to the Coast SHUTTLE BUSES, a number of fantastic tour operators are available for tours over the weekend. Leave the driving to someone else and have a great day out!

Basil’s Farm Seasonal Edible Gardening Workshops

Everything you need to know to grow healthy and fresh organic food throughout the seasons. Utilising sustainable practices, drawing on the skill of our in-house gardening guru Igor (Farm Manager) to help turn your garden into one of abundance, health, and beauty!

Trung Truong – Fine Art Photographic Exhibition at Basils Farm. 

Artist Trung Truong is currently showcasing his artwork at Basils Farm  This versatile artist’s love of nature shines through and portrays the diverse cultural influence of places he has lived. The beautiful Bellarine Peninsula is now his home and has inspired his recent series of Bellarine, fine art landscape photographs and paintings. These striking images display a depth of beauty and invite quiet contemplation.

Basils Farm “Sunday Sessions” Acoustic Music.

Our live music “Sunday Sessions” will start up again in September. Sit back and relax to the sounds of talented musicians play every Sunday 12.30-3.30pm, from September to April. We have a great line up planned for October including Alister Turrell who has played alongside Australia’s most respected blues artists, such as Jeff Lang and Geoff Achison. In 2011 Alister also won the award for Best Vocalist at the Melbourne Youth in Blues award.  We are also joined by Basils regulars and crowd favourites, Liv Cartledge, Della and Imogen Brough.

Every month we will also feature a Jazz, Folk or Blues musician. Keep an eye on this page for regular updates. Admission is free however bookings are highly recommended.
