2018 Basils Farm Shiraz
Handpicked fruit, fermented in small, open fermenters using indigenous wild yeasts. Matured in both new and used French oak, this wine has been made with minimal intervention in the winery.
The nose is of fleshy plums with allspice and pepper reflecting its cool climate origins. A mid-weight palate with low alcohol shows ripe plums, spicy zest and fine tannins. A lovely mouthfeel leads to a lingering finish. Enjoy now or the wine will reward with some years in the cellar.
