    2015 Kiltynane Chardonnay

    Our maritime climate tempers maximum and minimum temperatures. A gentle east facing block and EW rows also moderates temperatures and helps with texture and structure in the wine. Wild bunch pressed into barrel and wild fermented in oak. 12 months maturation in select French oak. The colour is pale gold/straw. Aromas of honeysuckle, fig and stone fruit introduce the long creamy palate. Flavours include white peach, a hint of granny smith apple, lemon cream and citrus. Cellar to 12 years.

    2015 Kiltynane Pinot Noir

    Picked early March after an excellent ripening period with cool nights, sea breezes and long dry spells. Whole berry pressed and wild fermented in small open fermenters. 12 months maturation in select custom French oak with minimal intervention. The colour is ruby garnet. Tasting: Rich savoury, white cherry then smokey prosciutto, earth and soft spice overlays. Supple tannins and youthful acid will see this pinot cellar well for at least 12 years.

The 2016 vintage is a more light bodied style with varietal flavours of raspberries, dark fruits and rhubarb. The low yielding, naturally cared for vines produce wines with rounded tannins, opening with a slightly dry finish and a clean, light acid finish.
