2018 Basils Farm Pinot Noir
The fruit was handpicked and sorted in the cool of the morning. Fermentation was in new and seasoned French oak barriques using indigenous wild yeasts. Matured in large format oak until its November bottling, this wine has been made with minimal intervention in the winery.
The wine is clear and bright, a light garnet colour. The nose is varietal Pinot Noir with subtle earthy notes. The palate brings forest fruits, sour cherry and soft acid leading to a finish with pleasing length. Enjoy now or will reward some years in the cellar.
