Why did you choose Basils Farm for your wedding?

We chose Basils Farm because the minute we drove into the car park Dylan and I looked at each other and said “This is it” we fell in love with the venue and no other venue would compare from then on.

The gardens are beautiful, the view and the festoon lights to top it off! We just loved it!

How did you find the planning process?

The planning process was actually really easy, we live in NSW too so I was a bit nervous as to how the planning would go from another state, but Basils staff throughout the whole process made me feel comfortable and like I was in good hands.

What was your favourite moment on your big day?

I can’t pick just one, I know it sounds cliché, but it was the best day of my life! In every photo, I have the biggest smile on my face. It was epic! Everyone since has been saying it was the best wedding they’ve been to.

We need to take a moment for our styling though!!!! Soul and Sage events absolutely nailed it!!!

Tell us about your styling inspiration?

It’s quite funny, as I don’t think of myself as trendy at all, but I just had this vision; Boho Style, neutral colours, champagne bridesmaid dresses. That’s all I had in my head!

I was so nervous to see how it all came together because you give your thoughts to your vendors and then don’t see it until the day, it’s quite a weird feeling BUT our Stylists, Soul and Sage Events NAILED IT!!! They definitely got my vision. It was spectacular! I can’t even describe how perfect our flowers and styling were!
